ANTI has always been an event strongly connected with the City of Kuopio. Places, people, communities and companies of the city are part of the network of contributors where the ANTI Festival was born and takes place. We want to participate in creating and developing a vibrant Kuopio and its urban culture where all voices are heard. It has been a joy to see how well Kuopio has succeeded in the rankings of Finland’s best places to live.

Surrounded by lakes and forests, Kuopio is located in Eastern Finland in the region of North Savo. The city has a population of about 120 000. Kuopio is easily reachable from Helsinki and other neighbouring cities.

The 2020 edition of ANTI Festival celebrated Kuopio’s winning nomination as the European Region of Gastronomy 2020-2021. Kuopio Region of Gastronomy is coordinated by ProAgria Eastern Finland, Rural Women’s Advisory Organisation and Savonia University.
