Eva Weaver (DE/UK): Red Crossing

Crossing the Rönö Bridge back and forth while weaving red thread along its side, Eva Weaver will create a clearly visible red field, transforming the bridge into a momentary sculpture.

Red Crossing is a durational performance-intervention that draws from shamanic elements and the theme of connection: the physical connection created by the bridge as well as the metaphorical space of ‘crossing over’ and moving in-between. Red Crossing is inserted into the landscape as a means of invigorating and linking, referencing life-blood, healing and the ‘red thread’ that flows through life.
