Antti Laitinen (FI): The Tree

Photographer and performance artist Antti Laitinen fells a tree at Karhonsaari and chops it into small pieces. Of these pieces he will build the tree back with the aid of nails and strings.

Antti Laitinen’s work has elements of humor and possible failure, which is accepted and embraced. The works often deal with searching and creating one’s own space. In his works Laitinen has studied the relationship between man and nature, often trying his own limits.
