Niran Baibulat (FI): Enviromental work

Visual artist Niran Baibulat will work daily in the skateboarding park creating a unique installed piece with the skaters. Baibulat works by reacting to various already existing issues, forms and materials. Her way of working could be described as identifying with material and as an attempt to strengthen, repair and continue it. In her works, Baibulat uses a great number of abandoned and found materials and she often draws a parallel between industrial materials and natural materials.

Baibulat is interested in the feel of a place and locality while working on an environmental work. Works consist of marking a place and reaching locality through working and materialism. Her work is about observing the place by doing and being in the place. Baibulat sees this as focusing the gaze and hearing the place as the work becomes parallel with the place.

The works of Niran Baibulat are mostly of small scale and carried out by a simple handicraft technique based on repetition.
