Anu Pennanen & Laura Horelli (FI/DE): Väinölänniemi Honour run
We are living in a world of virtual opinions. Gallup polls, blogs, internet discussions boards, interactive TV-shows, text message voting, you name it! But what issues would you stand for – or run for – in a sports stadium, in front of an audience?
Berlin-based Finnish artists Laura Horelli and Anu Pennanen have invited seven groups and/or individuals from Kuopio to manifest a cause by running a lap of honour at the Väinölänniemi Sports Stadium. As one group runs the other groups and the audience debate the running group’s issue. The event will be moderated by Atik Ismail, a Kuopio-based social worker who is known as a writer, Green party candidate and a legendary footballer.
