In this intervention, the students at Aalto Arts university are refiguring the term in the context of food and social distancing. What is the role of sharing a meal with others?

How dead is still life? Is my life still life?

Traditionally still life is understood to be a specific genre in western art that depicts things that do not move or are dead. Often still life revolves around food, from delicious fruits to fierce pieces of dead animals.

The students will exhibit their still lifes in a public session in the Gallery Ars Libera.
