Kids’ station

16.9. – 18.9.

Students from Aalto University’s Department of Art and Media will carry out site-specific projects at the venues of the first-ever ANTI Festival.

Everyone has waited for something at some point of their life. Sometimes it’s tedious, other times it’s exciting.

Can you lie down while you wait? Or fly? What about performing magic?

We invite you to wait with us in the most imaginative ways possible!

Kid’s station is a participatory intervention at the Kuopio train station. The station is a place of waiting and a stopover for something yet to come. At the first ANTI Festival, Kristiina and Riikka Korpela’s work Soivat kapistukset was presented at the train station. Now, 25 years later, we return to this historic site.

This project is part of a long-term collaboration between ANTI Festival and Aalto University, in which the festival serves as a platform for a course in artistic research.
