Elsi Sloan

The Helsinki based Elsi Sloan is a concerned citizen and the embodiment of queer joy, whose music captures life and euphoria at the tipping point of crisis. Sloan’s music exudes freedom, a communal way of life, and the sacred power of being a lesbian. It creates a space for both sensitivity and keen observations of the world.

As a performer, Sloan’s intense presence and stripped-down honesty are captivating.

“On stage, I want to create moments that make the listener think about their lives and their connections with people from a new perspective. What we can achieve together!”, wonders Sloan, who is also known as an actress.

New music is on it’s way: Sloan releases her next single in the summer and an EP in the coming autumn.

Year 2026 is the artist’s 10th anniversary: ​​Sloan performed her first gigs at the age of 16, after realizing that instead of dreaming of becoming a singer-songwriter, she could start making her dream come true. Sloan released her debut album, Pakko muuttua, in 2023.

Melkutus Party

Kantele used to be the dance party instrument two hundred years ago – so why not also today! 

Nordic Notes releases the band’s debut album Mahti on 18th September 2026. The band explores their own power, “mahti”, (an expression used by the old kantele players), dances in the post-human rave and lets out feelings of both joy, sorrow, power and frustration. Mahti takes the listener from somber meditations to hectic party-bangers, and back. In the center of the album is the Finnish traditional lyre kantele, of which sound seamlessly fits into genres like drum n bass, ambient, trance and electronica. Whether it’s time to settle down and relax, or enjoy a night full of clubbing – we are here with you. 

The trio has performed in Finland since 2023 and they made their international debut by touring in the United States in 2024. Since then they have also performed in Latvia, Lithuania and as official showcase performers at Nordic Folk Alliance in Uppsala in 2025 (Sweden) and at Kaustinen Folk Music Festival (Finland) in 2026.
