Nordic Street Network

The Nordic Street Network will explore and elaborate on the challenges and potential in working with performing arts in public space in a Nordic-Baltic setting.

Distribution and collaborations between organisations and artists with an interest in working outdoors in this region are not as strong, as we believe they could be. This network is a step towards building relations, creating more opportunities for artists and establish a network between organisations working in the field of performing arts in public space.

Open Call for Artists to join Nordic Street Network

Open Call for performing artists with an interest in working in public space to join Nordic network meetings in 2024 and 2025.

The Nordic Street Network explores the potential in working with performing arts in public space in a Nordic-Baltic setting, and aims towards building relations and opportunities for both artists and organisations working with performing arts in public space.

In 2024 and 2025, the network organises two seminars:

10-12/9 2024 | at ANTI – Contemporary Art Festival, Kuopio, Finland
12-14/2 2025 | at Barents Spektakel in collaboration with Davvi – Senter for scenekunst, Kirkenes, Norway

ANTI Festival invites artists based in Finland to join the network!

We are looking for:

5 performing artists who
– would like to attend the seminar in Kuopio and is available during that period
– is interested in contributing to the programme of the seminar (eg. be part of a panel discussion, work demo, presentation of your work or other together with organisers / artists in the room)

1 performing artist who
– would like to attend the seminar both in Kuopio and in Kirkenes, and is available during that period
– is interested in contributing to the programme of the seminars (eg. be part of a panel discussion, work demo, presentation of your work or other together with organisers / artists in the room)

The project covers travels and accommodation for two nights / per city + meals.
