Colonial histories are not past; they live in language, in land and in bodies. This gathering invites two powerful artist voices – Nora Sayyad and Gáddjá Haarla Pieski – to share their work and perspectives.

In this space of listening, sharing and solidarity, we consider how different anti-colonial struggles connect, how language can become a site of struggle and survival, and how art might help us persist and transform. The audience is warmly invited into the dialogue.

We begin with a simple shared meal, recognising the right of all people to nourishment and dignity, and in solidarity with communities – including in Gaza, Sudan, and Haiti – where food itself is weaponised in colonial conflict. The artists’ presentations and open conversations will follow.
