Helene Bryant (UK): Sauce

The performance artist Helena Bryant became a waitress and artist in residence at restaurant Rose for two nights. Sauce is an informal, comical and chaotic piece that develops as the residence progresses. Bryant serves customers with drinks with chitchat and performance art on the side. She will explore as well as play with her relationship with both the audience and the venue. The audience can also order events from a menu which itself will be augmented according to the orders made.

Helene Bryant’s process- and emotion-based performance works are weird. Her performances -carried out under the heading “flimsy productions” – are based on fragility, power, taking risks and making a mess.
