Eeva-Maria Haikala (FI): Night Home
The piece activates the day-care centre when the usual users are not there. Night home consists of used dolls, projected video and sound. The video and sound are performative and associated with this specific day-care centre. The dolls represent being away and projecting images on to them gives them a new concrete level of interpretation.
This site-specific work endeavours to bring out the essence of the space and setting, and to remind us of the importance of children and imagination.
