ANTI Festival is an international contemporary arts festival presenting site-specific works made for public space. Over the past seven years ANTI has presented live, sonic, visual and text-based art from today’s most exciting and innovative artists. A truly international festival and Finland’s foremost presenter of Live Art, ANTI is a meeting place for artists and audiences fascinated by how art shapes and responds to the places and spaces of everyday life.
ANTI is a member of the European Commission funded project ‘A Space for Live Art’ and will substantially develop in size and scope over the next five years. This is an exciting moment for ANTI and we seek to appoint a producer who can respond to and capitalise on this substantial area of support.
This senior position covers all areas of organisational management and festival production, from controlling annual budgets to overseeing technical production on the ground. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in producing national and/or international arts events. The role will have special responsibility for implementing a 5-year growth programme and developing support for the festival in both the private and public sectors. You will work closely with artistic directors while managing and self-initiating your own schedule. You will also work closely with our ‘A Space For Live Art’ partners.
ANTI festival is an international event presenting an international programme of artists, fluency in Finnish and English is essential as is an understanding and knowledge of contemporary art and performance. Interviews for the position will be held in both Finnish and English.
The work begins on 1st of January 2009 or as soon as possible. There is a four month probation. The salary is 2500 € per month. The post is located in Kuopio, Finland.

Producer responsibilities
1. To develop and realise all festival and organisational activities throughout the year.
2. To enable the festival and the organisation to grow and develop in accordance to the 5-year development plan.
3. To manage the EU strand of funding and liaise with our EU partners.
4. To work closely throughout the year with the Artistic Directors on realising the festival programme
5. To fully produce ANTI Festival and all other events including production management and all financial/legal activities (the creation of contracts etc)
6. To take responsibility for the financial management of the organisation.
7. To take responsibility for raising funds and increasing existing funds.
8. To develop new relationships with funders and partners in both the public and private sectors
9. To maintain existing relationships with funders and partners
10. To develop and maintain PR and press relationships
11. To show a high level of initiative and work well on their own – the role demands a very high standard of communication with funders, partners, press, audiences and artists.
