Väinölänniemi Sports Stadium
A sports stadium located at Väinölänniemi in Kuopio, with seating, a 400m track and floodlights. The stadium, owned by Kuopio City Council, was opened in 1923 and refurbished in 1980. The stadium has 9800 seats, 2700 of which are covered. Kuopio FC played all its home games here between 1930 and 2005, after which time they relocated to another pitch. The runner Paavo Nurmi broke a world record at this stadium.

Rönö bridge
Rönö bridge starts at the Väinölänniemi outdoor leisure area and connects the small Rönö island to the mainland. The bridge was built in the early 80’s and has enabled both bus and car access to the island. The bridge is 152m in length, 9.5m wide and 5.5m above the lake. Lake Kallavesi extends on both sides of the bridge.

Market square stage
The public stage is situated at Kuopio market square. The square, surrounded by shops and restaurants, is the focal point of the city. A market takes place from Monday to Saturday morning and the square is lined by bus stops. As there are some take-away food stands, the square tends to remain lively until well past midnight. The public stage remains on the square as a permanent structure throughout the year and it is used for various cultural and public events.

Curious On The Scent
Sotku
Situated at the centre of Kuopio, at the site of old army barracks, Sotku is a performing arts building that was re-opened to the public following an extensive refurbishment in the spring of 2008. Amongst other groups, the building is home to Regional Dance Centre Kuopio and Dance Theatre Minimi. In addition, the venue is used each year by a number of performing arts groups.

Festival centre / Intro bar & grill
Intro bar & grill is the meeting point and the official club/restaurant for ANTI-festival. Located at the centre of the city, this is a versatile, comfortable venue that offers frequent DJ-sessions with funk, soul and jazz. There will be something happening at Intro throughout the festival and it will be a good choice for lunch or dinner. Intro will also house the ANTI-festival information point.
